Each church discovering and prayerfully aligning with their biblical mission. Everything in God's creation has a purpose and the church is no exception. The church was established for a purpose.
Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Acts of the Apostles, page 9
The church is God's appointed agency for the salvation of men. It was organized for service, and its mission is to carry the gospel to the world.
NPUC will be live streaming a seminar entitled, The Mission-Driven Church, on May 11 at 2:30pm PST. This 90-minute seminar is for pastors and church leaders who want to see their churches become more missional. Presenters include: Bill McClendon, Roger Walter and Tyler Long.
NATURAL CHURCH DEVELOPMENT
Growing churches are healthy churches. Natural Church Development (NCD) is a church health process that local church leaders can use to help provide a roadmap for moving the church toward greater health. NCD resources are available through North American Division Evangelism Institute (NADEI) at Andrews University.

CHURCH GROWTH PRACTICUM
Most churches want to grow, but haven’t figured out how. Too many Seventh-day Adventist churches in North America are experiencing little or no growth, and an alarming number of congregations are actually declining. Pastors and church leaders are growing increasingly frustrated, trying to find new ways to grow their church.
Partners for Growth is a series of three weekend Church Growth Practicums, spread over three years, that leads a church through biblically sound church growth principles. During these practicums, there will be time for church teams (pastors and church board members) to process and develop strategies to implement in their local context. These practicums are designed to facilitate meaningful discussion among the leadership of a church and encourage them to set a new course that will lead to better church health and greater Kingdom growth.
Church leaders who are interested in attending a Church Growth Practicum should contact their conference evangelism director for more details.
DISCOVER BIBLE SCHOOL BOOTCAMP
North Pacific Union Conference and Voice of Prophecy are sponsoring a two-hour training seminar called, Discover Bible School Bootcamp. This training event will be available on our website by April 6, 2018. This is a recorded training event hosted by Kurt Johnson of Voice of Prophecy, will deal with the nuts and bolts of setting up and running an effective Discover Bible School in your church.
CHURCH LEADERSHIP RETREAT
Most church board meetings consist of a few hours when the board is dealing with day-to-day issues that arise from normal church operations. Why not invite the church board to spend a weekend together, praying and discussing mission. Take some time to review the last 10-year church history. Is the church growing, plateaued or declining? Discuss issues that may need to be addressed that otherwise might be inhibiting the church from growing.
